Castiel wants a new tie; why is nothing simple?
Castiel thought it would be easy. He’d primed himself with the knowledge and information he needed in order to make this purchase. After all, it was only a tie…
He wanted to buy a new tie, but now he was standing in the tie store surrounded by four thousand two hundred and thirty-two designs and colours, (and, yes, he had counted them all), it was overwhelming.
Should he select a tie with a pattern? There were cartoon characters, bicycles, flowers, Van Gogh paintings, checks and stripes and naked ladies. That last one possibly wasn’t the most appropriate choice for an angel of the lord…
Even if he didn’t choose a pattern, he still had to select a colour.
He had been a warrior of heaven, perhaps he should choose red. Or yellow; yellow was supposed to promote happiness. Green was said to be calming. Purple was a pleasant colour, but it was the colour of kings and emperors; would that be boastful? Black was funereal, and grey was dull.
It was very complex…
“Hey Cas, did you get your new tie?”
“Yes Dean. I am wearing it.”
“But it’s blue – the same as all your others!”
“Yes, but it’s new.”
